The Alachua County Democratic Executive Committee (ACDEC) is honored to invite you to the 27th Annual Lawton Chiles Gala. The Gala and Silent Auction will be held on October 4, 2026 from 4:30pm to 9:00pm at the Hilton University of Florida, 1714 SW 34th St, Gainesville, FL 32607.
Each year, we bring together community activists, elected officials, labor and community leaders, and supporters from across North Central Florida for an evening of celebration and civic engagement. Our Gala will feature a delicious meal, wonderful musical performers, and excellent speakers.
Alachua County has long played a pivotal role in Florida’s history, and we continue to show our value and strength as one of few remaining Democratic counties in Florida. Over the last two years, we have increased our events to include a range of activities from civics courses to candidate forums to general meetings and open houses. These events, along with our increased community outreach, showcase the strong Democratic presence in our county and bring new people in to build our party.
